The role of a senior psychologist involves providing psychological services within a team, incorporating various psychometric assessments and interventions for clients. As an independent professional, one must possess excellent collaborative, leadership and transdisciplinary skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver holistic psychological services that cater to the assigned clientele's needs.
- Manage, coordinate, and conduct formal and informal psychological assessments independently.
- Develop clinical formulations and evidence-based hypothesis for challenging cases.
- Design and implement evidence-based programs or intervention plans in collaboration with teams.
- Participate in case discussions, placement meetings, and case conference meetings, chairing these when necessary.
- Empower clients and caregivers through self-management strategies to enhance health and functioning.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote clients' development and/or functioning.
- Engage in continuous professional development to develop specialist psychological skills, new clinical services and activities.
- Provide supervision to associate psychologists, entry-level psychologists, students and interns.
- Review models of care and service delivery based on evidence-based practices, research and sector trends.
- Conduct research, data collection and analysis.
- Support quality improvement projects and implement new psychology services, initiatives and technology.
- Monitor staff adherence to policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Therapy to meet program objectives.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Program Director.
