Psychology Professor Position

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage coursework teaching teams, contributing significantly to the delivery of high-quality educational experiences.
  • Supervise fourth-year and postgraduate research projects, guiding students in their academic pursuits and fostering their growth as independent researchers.
  • Pursue research endeavors both individually and collaboratively, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of psychology.
  • Maintain a strong professional presence in the discipline of psychology, staying abreast of developments and best practices.
  • Participate in service activities within the university, contributing to its overall mission and goals as requested by the Campus Dean.
Requirements
  • A PhD in Psychology (or near completion for Lecturer level appointment).
  • A strong publication record relative to career stage, demonstrating a commitment to scholarly productivity.
  • Evidence of quality teaching and supervision of students at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, showcasing expertise in pedagogy and student development.
  • The ability to teach across a range of psychology subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, adapting to diverse learning needs and contexts.
  • Experience in curriculum development, management, and quality assurance, ensuring educational excellence and relevance.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues in an academic environment and with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, facilitating clear expression and understanding of complex ideas.
Desirable Criteria
  • A track record of success in obtaining external research funding, indicating a capacity for securing resources and support.

Employment Details
  • Full-time position subject to Ministry of Manpower Singapore jurisdiction and a probationary period.
