Occupational Therapy Role

This job opening is for a skilled occupational therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing interventions for patients referred for occupational therapy.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Assessing and managing patients referred for occupational therapy independently
- Implementing appropriate treatment plans and adhering to clinical standards
- Providing timely reviews of patients in the continuum of care
- Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records
- Practicing within areas of professional competence and seeking clinical support from supervisors or other healthcare professionals when necessary
The secondary responsibilities of this role include:
- Communicating and collaborating with other healthcare members in the multidisciplinary team
- Participating in and assisting with clinical and service initiatives
- Assisting in providing clinical education to occupational therapy students
- Contributing to departmental in-service training programs and hospital educational talks
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A recognized diploma or degree in occupational therapy
- An interest in working in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics (including hand therapy), and palliative care
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well in a team and also independently
- Competence in using Microsoft Office software
