About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Human Resources professional to lead our client's HR strategy and operations.

This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping the organisation's people agenda — driving workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and HR compliance to support business objectives.

You will partner closely with senior leadership and corporate stakeholders to design and implement impactful HR initiatives.

Beyond leading the HR team, you will champion employee well-being, strengthen union relations, and oversee critical functions such as compensation and benefits, performance management, and strategic HR projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy & Compliance:

Review and recommend policy changes in line with employment law, collective agreements, and government regulations. Ensure compensation, benefits administration, and HR processes comply with statutory requirements.

  • Strategic HR Advisory:

Act as a trusted advisor to General Managers and Department Heads on organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.

  • Performance Management:

Drive the annual performance review cycle, guiding leaders in setting KPIs and evaluating outcomes.

  • Budgeting & HR Projects:

Develop and monitor the HR annual budget, covering manpower planning, payroll costs, HR services, employee recognition, and departmental expenses.

  • Talent Acquisition & Development:

Oversee recruitment, compensation, and training initiatives.

  • Compensation, Benefits & Payroll:

Administer compensation and benefits accurately and on time. Manage timekeeping, attendance, and payroll processing.

Requirements & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and prior experience managing union matters is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional maturity, with a self-motivated and independent work ethic.
