Senior Biomedical Engineer

This role involves managing and maintaining biomedical systems to ensure they operate efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance jobs for biomedical systems, adhering to manufacturer instructions and checklists.
  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdown jobs for biomedical systems using manufacturer instructions and checklists.
  • Collaborate with user departments and vendors to complete preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance jobs within specified timeframes.
  • Work with biomedical equipment vendors on commissioning jobs, ensuring newly purchased equipment meets manufacturer specifications.
  • Assist user departments with IT integration-related issues for biomedical equipment.
  • Procure parts for breakdown jobs and expedite their delivery.
  • Ensure team members complete scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown jobs within required timeframes.
  • Maintain communication with user departments and biomedical equipment vendors to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Help user departments manage their biomedical equipment inventory.
  • Analyze and summarize information on biomedical equipment for user departments, preparing reports as needed.
  • Provide technical input in projects, meetings, and discussions from a BME department perspective.
  • Collaborate with users and the purchasing department to define technical specifications for new biomedical equipment procurements.
  • Participate in evaluating and procuring biomedical equipment, providing technical insights from the BME department's viewpoint.
  • Offer support and guidance to technical officers on communication skills, issue resolution, and customer service.
  • Attend technical training sessions on biomedical equipment arranged by the department.
  • Stay updated on IT, cybersecurity, and EMR integration matters related to biomedical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree + 5 years of work experience.
