  • Issue laytime statements with precision and efficiency
  • Review and negotiate contracts, charter parties, and other relevant documents with expertise
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including brokers, ship owners, and charterers, to achieve common goals
  • Monitor, track, and resolve laytime disputes or discrepancies with a focus on resolution
  • Maintain and update laytime databases and records with attention to detail
  • Prepare reports and analysis on laytime performance to inform business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to laytime to ensure compliance
  • Support other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum ITE/diploma, preferably in maritime studies or a related field
  • Previous experience in a post fixture or laytime role within the shipping industry
  • Strong understanding of laytime calculations, charter parties, and contracts
  • Familiarity with industry software and tools for laytime calculations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • No prior experience is necessary, as training will be provided.
