About the Role
HarbourVest Partners (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to support the growth of our open-ended private equity offering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for project management, client and product operations support, and providing technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the open-ended product operations, ensuring fund routines are maintained, manufactured, distributed, and operational serviced.
- Work with sales, product specialists, and distribution specialists to facilitate the onboarding of local distributors, articulating regional requirements with internal partners, and ensuring local requirements/practices fit into existing systems/processes.
- Manage ongoing projects to meet the fund's needs and objectives, including supporting new feeder fund build-outs, regional feeder support, and creating connectivity with fund/wealth platforms.
- Provide client solutions and assistance where necessary to analyze and implement complex commercial or operational arrangements.
- Monitor and evaluate market and competitor developments/trends alongside new fintech platforms to ensure the product keeps up with market requirements.
- Evaluate regulatory developments to help the fund adapt to local regulatory needs and improvements that allow the fund to grow.
- Support the budgeting process.
- Provide RFP/Operational Due Diligence (ODD) support.
- Lead projects for updates to key fund documentation, including compliance with ongoing fund registrations requirements.
- Manage and maintain fund data and documentation.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of open-ended funds and private markets.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Execution-minded individual with excellent organization skills.
- Broad understanding of fund operations.
- Results-oriented with excellent organization and analytical skills.
- Experience of regulated funds a plus.
- Understanding of the private wealth space, including intermediary (distribution), platforms, data vendor relationships.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Modelling experience a plus.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in alternative investment, open-ended funds, institutional or private wealth, financial sales and service, or product specialist types of roles (Senior Associate level).
