The Assistant Facilities Manager will oversee the management of all technical personnel, specialists, and direct vendors in various disciplines within the contractual work scope. This involves planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure proper contract administration and management. The role requires close collaboration with Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) services teams as well as soft services facilities management.
This position involves conducting regular inspections to identify areas requiring rectification and overseeing team performance to meet contractual timelines. Additionally, the successful candidate will be familiar with Workplace Health and Safety Act and provide guidance on health and safety matters. Regular audits will be conducted to ensure safety procedures are in place and functioning effectively.
A suitable candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building, Facilities, or Estate Management, or a relevant discipline. A minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position is preferred, particularly in handling government properties or statutory boards. Proven track records of Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contracts management experience are essential. Certification as a Fire Safety Manager, Project Manager, or Greenmark Manager would be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet challenging goals within tight deadlines.
