Manufacturing Excellence Role

At our esteemed organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Jr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of innovators and experts in the field of manufacturing. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the line validation process, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration. They will also develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods across various areas of the company.

  • Conduct thorough audits and validations to evaluate manufacturing processes using knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
  • Collaborate with vendors and gather input from operators to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Validate new products, product changes, and enhancements, as well as related tooling and fixtures.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Qualify and validate manufacturing processes, including equipment qualification and material specifications.
  • Design testing methods, test finished products, and establish standards to assure product and process quality.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform manufacturing decisions by calculating production costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on product and process performance, analyzing trends and summarizing information.
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards within assigned areas, conducting accident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop proof-of-concept ideas for new technologies or methodologies that can provide a competitive advantage and cost benefits.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with 2-5 years of experience in high-volume production environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication abilities at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical techniques, with Certified Lean/6 Sigma preferred.
  • Knowledge of process capabilities, control charting, and writing protocols for validations and qualifications.
  • Familiarity with FDA, GMPs, ISO 9001, ISO13485, and Medical Device Directives.
