Product Reliability Engineer Job Description">

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading company in the field of high-bandwidth memory products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, with expertise in semiconductor devices, circuit design, and product validation.

The role involves spearheading and developing a high-performing team that drives both intrinsic and extrinsic reliability test development and execution for Micron's latest HBM products. This includes defining and developing reliability stress, test flows, and test plans to cover all product reliability aspects, as well as working closely with Global Quality teams to define qualification plans and review qualification execution progress.

The Product Reliability Engineer will be responsible for driving down and achieving extrinsic reliability (Time 0 and Field DPM) and intrinsic reliability through optimized manufacturing test flows and test strategy. Additionally, they will debug and identify root causes and failures in reliability tests by electric failure analysis (EFA) and physical failure analysis (PFA) and drive for resolution and improvements through cross-functional team collaboration.

This is a critical role that requires effective communication skills, particularly when articulating technical concepts and findings. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of problem-solving methodologies, a focus on identifying root causes, and experience with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture, and basic device physics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Coursework or internship experience in semiconductor devices, circuit design, or product validation
  • Solid understanding of problem-solving methodologies, with a focus on identifying root causes and exploring solution spaces
  • Familiarity with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture, and basic device physics
  • Exposure to data analysis, statistics, and scripting tools such as Python or JMP
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in team-based projects, contributing to shared goals and outcomes
  • Flexible and eager to learn, with a willingness to take on diverse roles in a dynamic engineering environment
  • Responsible and accountable, with a professional work ethic and ownership of assigned tasks
