Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Cost Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, with the ability to analyze and prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and contractual documentation.

  • Negotiate and manage contractor accounts, variations, and final accounts.
  • Advise on procurement strategies and make recommendations to optimize project costs.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, cost analyses, and financial forecasts.
  • Provide expert advice and support on construction contracts and commercial management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quantity surveying practices and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Commercial Management: Proven experience in managing commercial aspects of construction projects.
  • Budgets: Ability to analyze and prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates.
  • Construction Management: Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Quantity Surveying: Professional membership of a relevant organization (e.g. RICS).
  • Able To Work Independently: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
