Singapore Management University is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Senior/Deputy Director, Office of Strategy Management. This position plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of strategic planning and execution within the university.

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation:

The ideal candidate will oversee the development and implementation of strategic plans that align with the university's overarching objectives. Key responsibilities include facilitating strategic planning frameworks, coordinating communication of strategic outcomes, and leading the operationalization of systems to monitor and evaluate strategic performance. Additionally, this role involves coordinating senior leadership meetings and executive retreats focused on strategy formulation, as well as synthesizing insights to inform long-range goals and strategic frameworks.

Corporate Planning and Performance Management:

The successful candidate will also oversee the university's performance management frameworks, including the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and the Dean's Discretionary Fund-BSC (DDF-BSC) performance-based incentive framework. Responsibilities include managing performance review facilitation, developing and maintaining the Executive Management Dashboard, and providing strategic inputs and information for key reports.

  • Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in any field, with a postgraduate degree being an advantage. A minimum of 12 to 15 years of work experience within 10 years in strategic planning is required, preferably in higher education and/or consulting. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of strategic/corporate planning and review, secretariat functions for strategic/corporate planning processes, and organization/leading of strategic/corporate planning events. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
