Protecting Public Health through Proactive Disease Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Public Health Officer to join our team in the Air and Droplet Borne Division of the Communicable Diseases Agency.

The role is responsible for reducing the burden of communicable diseases through evidence-based policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation of effective disease prevention and control programs.

You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement epidemiological surveillance programs, respond to outbreaks, and provide technical subject matter expertise on airborne and droplet-borne diseases.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to public health in Singapore and collaborate with international partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, implement, monitor, and review prevention and control strategies for airborne and droplet-borne diseases.
  • Epidemiological investigation and outbreak management for airborne and droplet-borne diseases.
  • Develop and implement disease surveillance programs for airborne and droplet-borne diseases.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise for airborne and droplet-borne diseases.
  • Programme management and administration.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a life science discipline or medical/nursing background.
  • Postgraduate degree in Public Health or Epidemiology or equivalent advantageous.
  • 2-3 years' experience in public health desirable.
  • Strong analytical skillsets.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and resourcefulness.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Willingness to work beyond office hours during outbreaks and continuously update knowledge on new developments in the communicable diseases field.
