Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source and procure materials and components for company product manufacturing.
  • Evaluate and assess supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to qualify suppliers and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and resolve supplier-related issues to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and prioritize an auditing schedule to ensure suppliers meet good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Engineering and management to assess business needs and contribute to procurement and company strategies.
  • Analyze and interpret supplier and organizational information to support procurement planning and decision making.
  • Apply risk management and compliance checks to identify potential risks and trigger risk mitigation and management responses.
  • Implement plans to ensure orders meet specified quality and delivery times and minimize total cost of purchases.
  • Document performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects.
  • Handle requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes.
  • Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Drive parts and process qualification in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers.
  • Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related fields.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Global sourcing experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines.
