We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement team at The LEGO Group. As a key member of our Semiconductor Strategic Sourcing Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement category strategies for integrated circuits and SoC designs.

Your mission will be to secure access to the capabilities, technology, and roadmap of industry-leading key players in the semiconductor market, ensuring LEGO's access to the technological leap to be made over the coming years.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain deep commercial relationships at core technology suppliers, leading commercial discussions and being the main contact point for commercial issues.
  • Take a lead role within the Semiconductor Strategic Sourcing Team, responsible for managing sourcing strategies for MPU, MCU, and ASIC categories.
  • Have a good insight and experience with the full SoC value chain, especially IP block integration within ASIC or custom silicon design.
  • Own the RFx process with suppliers, supplier negotiations, and provide input and review for product development processes, including Statements of Work and Supplier Agreements.
  • Keep LEGO up to date with industry trends, costs, metrics, roadmaps, IPs, methodologies, and tools.
  • Drive stakeholder participation in category execution plans, facilitate regular cadence of alignment and reviews, and understand future needs and translate into key sourcing priorities.
  • Coordinate project activities and team members across global sites and resolve issues as vital according to the project schedule.
  • Accountable for quality, time, and yield management optimization of production.
  • Provide active leadership and influencing among stakeholders, finance, and suppliers, driving company-wide cost-saving initiatives.
  • Drive compliance and savings KPIs, manage global/regional suppliers, and contracting, negotiations, and performance management on all parameters related to SQC&T.

The ideal candidate holds a technical background in electronics engineering and has a demonstrated commercial working experience in the area of ASIC or custom silicon design.

Requirements
  • Experience working on SoC/Module projects with high-level process milestone management.
  • In-depth working experience with partners, particularly the joint development of cost programs, process technologies (DFM), launch of projects (NPI), and yield optimizations.
  • Shown commercial leadership experience in a high-technical environment.

As a person, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills with multicultural experience (Asia, Europe). You are fluent in English and used to interact with and present to suppliers and senior internal and external stakeholders.

This role will also require an innovative and strategic mentality with a driven and action-oriented approach, the ability to adjust to change in a positive way, strong result orientation, effective collaboration skills, and a willingness to travel for business in the United Kingdom, Europe, United States, and Asia.

Proven semiconductor experience with a focus on ASIC design and integration of IP cores, extensive knowledge in semiconductors procurement and/or semiconductor sales, and a team-player with open communication skills are also essential.

Leading complex negotiations at global/regional level, driving supplier segmentation & performance management initiatives, identifying key sourcing and governance initiatives, and defining technical requirements, quality, and logistics requirements based on relevant stakeholders are also key responsibilities.

Experience of technology integration within ASIC designs is also required.
