Job Title: Tunneling Operations Manager

Job Description:

This role involves overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of tunnel machinery. This includes Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), ventilation systems, conveyor belts and mucking systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of mechanical technicians and fitters, ensuring proper use of tools, PPE, and safety procedures underground.

In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will also be responsible for enforcing health and safety standards, maintaining compliance with equipment operation manuals and project specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical works in tunnelling construction field
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems in a tunnelling context
  • Hands-on experience with TBM systems, hydraulics, and ventilation units
  • Able to work shift work, 6 day work week
