Trainee Specialist Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Specialist Psychologist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assessing and diagnosing children with dyslexia and other specific learning differences, and providing them with the necessary support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Select, administer, and score psychological tests to assess children's cognitive and learning abilities.
- Compile and interpret test results, along with information from teachers and parents, to diagnose conditions and determine eligibility for special services.
- Prepare comprehensive psychological reports for teachers, administrators, and parents, highlighting areas of strength and weakness.
- Promote an understanding of child development and its relationship to learning and behavior, and provide guidance on strategies to support children's learning.
- Participate in special interest projects and provide intervention services to children, under the supervision of experienced psychologists.
- Contribute to the development of our team's expertise and knowledge in the field of dyslexia and specific learning differences.
- A good honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training and support to our Trainee Specialist Psychologists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and educators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work well in a team, with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Dependability, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in using psychological assessment tools and software.
