The Role:

As a Staff Quality Engineer, you will work on SOC, ASIC and FPGA debugging and failure analysis. You will reproduce reported failures, isolate the cause of failure and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish bench component level and system level testing and diagnostic capabilities for SOCs and FPGAs
  • Debug and analyze customer returned failures leading to test and process improvements
  • Develop novel techniques for fault isolation in preparation for physical failure analysis
  • Generate hypotheses and devise experiments and electrical tests to prove the hypothesis for observed failures
  • Interface with foundry teams and drive for wafer process improvement, requiring strong wafer process knowledge and experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of device physics and semiconductor processing for advanced technology nodes
  • Strong background in wafer process management, statistical analysis and yield enhancement
  • Circuit analysis and logic design knowledge is essential
  • Good programming skills in one or more: C/C++/Verilog/VHDL/Tcl/Perl/Python/Unix shells
  • Working knowledge of Linux environment
Academic Credentials:
  • BS in Electrical or Electronics with 6 plus years of work experience
  • MS in Electrical or Electronics with 4 plus years of work experience
