Senior Software Engineering Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our software development teams. This is a critical role in driving end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality digital solutions within the public sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of developers to deliver high-impact digital solutions.
  • Architecting and designing fullstack systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Developing and reviewing robust APIs, ensuring they meet security and performance standards.
  • Championing secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Overseeing CI/CD pipeline setup and ensuring quality assurance integration within DevSecOps workflows.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UI/UX designers, and infrastructure engineers.
  • Ensuring alignment with cloud best practices (AWS or Azure) for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Delivering systems that integrate with government authentication mechanisms (e.g., Singpass, Corppass) and adhere to public sector compliance standards.
  • Supporting project planning, estimation, and risk management.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 6 years of hands-on development experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years leading software teams or projects.
  • Strong proficiency in fullstack development (frontend and backend).
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Solid knowledge of secure coding practices and experience in DevSecOps toolchains.
  • Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience delivering systems for the government sector, especially those involving integration with government authentication services.
  • Familiar with agile delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
