Job Description

As a key member of the legal team, the Contract Negotiator and Lawyer will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's commercial relationships through expert drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of contracts.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. They will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual agreements align with the company's strategic objectives and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Additionally, the successful candidate will provide high-level legal counsel to the business, advising on matters such as corporate governance, dispute resolution, and litigation management. They will also collaborate with external legal counsel and engage with regulatory authorities as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate complex contracts that meet the company's needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and related business matters.
  • Support dispute resolution efforts and manage litigation processes when required.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and engage with regulatory authorities as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law and admission to the Singapore Bar (or an equivalent jurisdiction).
  • At least five years of experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably gained from an in-house legal team or a reputable law firm.
  • Strong expertise in contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
