Automation and Hardware Measurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Hardware Measurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of specialized automation and hardware measurement tools used for product testing.

This role requires close collaboration with engineers and tool vendors to define, design, and validate these tools according to product requirements.

The successful candidate will follow up closely on tool development and delivery to meet program requirements, and ensure proper documentation is created after tool buy off. Training and mentoring will be provided.

The Automation and Hardware Measurement Specialist will be expected to work fully on-site to support the team, especially during new product introduction build. Occasional travel may be required for tool discussion and validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement specialized measurement/automation tools for product testing.
  • Manage and follow up closely on tool development and delivery with assigned tool vendors according to program requirements.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing support for such tools on site.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, BOM, and system diagrams where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with production tools and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of urgency according to program schedule.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong CAD drawing skills.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Some electrical and electronic skills.
