**Job Description**:
**The Role**

You will be responsible for product development of Rockwell Automation Industrial I/O Modules.

You will be responsible for managing a team of electrical hardware engineers, size 5-10 while providing leadership to achieve team’s commitment.

You will need to foster strong collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Quality.

You will need to manage between people management & technical responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of engineers in Hardware for New Product Development
- Drive talent development, build technical competencies and identifies development opportunities for the team
- Advocates compliance in design engineering processes and procedures for all design related activities to ensure the team create world class quality products
- Guide the team to adopt best practices in effort estimations for an efficient execution in product development to produce a world class product on time
- Collaborate closely across cross-functional teams for project deliverables
- Coach, mentor engineers and help the team to adjust to the changing environment such as tools, processes, technologies, business objectives to deliver world class products.
- Practice and influence the use of Agile/SAFe principles and best practices.

- Have a comprehensive knowledge on New Product Development processes and activities
- Motivated in the ability to contribute in product design through others than by own self effort.
- Want to be seen as a leader that motivates, coaches and mentors his/her team for successes.
- Have a track-record on developing self and others to become more capable overtime. Not afraid to identify opportunities for improvements; see improvements as a way to become world class.
- Keeping abreast with technologies.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to think ‘out of the box’. Not dependent on defined processes. Knows what and how to move forward in the absence of a defined process. Able to translate a good approach into a documented process for others to follow whenever needed.

**Professional Experience**
- Minimum 10 years relevant design experience in New Product Development
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in leading a team and managing design engineers in new product development
- Certification and/or experience in Agile/SAFe Principles and practices.
- Experience or knowledge in industrial automation products will be an added advantage

**Soft Skills**
- Communicates clearly and concisely
- Building and maintaining a strong and motivated team.
- Ability to collaborate and to work effectively across functions
- Address conflicts and other barriers towards effective collaboration

**Qualifications**

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering
