Senior Trading Systems Engineer

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer to lead the development of our trading systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trading systems, with hands-on experience in areas such as order management, execution algorithms, market data, or risk management.

They will be responsible for driving the technical vision and execution of complex, multi-quarter projects across multiple engineering teams.

This includes leading the design and development of mission-critical trading systems, partnering with product managers and other functions to align product strategy with long-term technical bets and roadmap.

The successful candidate will also mentor and coach engineers across various levels, fostering growth and developing the next generation of trading and infrastructure leaders.

Elevating engineering quality and promoting best practices through design review, code review guidance, and process improvements is key.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in trading systems (traditional or crypto), with hands-on experience and strategic oversight in areas like order management, execution algorithms, market data, or risk management.
  • Customer-obsessed with strong product intuition to technical decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive complex initiatives across organizational boundaries, influencing stakeholders and achieving consensus.
  • Strong mentoring skills with a passion for leveling up teammates and building high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with high stakes and high velocity, providing clear direction and stability.
  • A high bar for quality, correctness, and operational excellence, instilling these values within the team.
