Job Title: Chief Innovation Strategist
The role of a Strategic Innovation Manager is crucial in the success of an organization. In this context, the manager will be responsible for building synergy as one team member, collaborating closely with and leveraging the collective expertise, capabilities, and resources of complementary units within the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- To co-lead the development and execution of an innovation roadmap/framework with directors in the area of workforce transformation. This involves synthesizing new and existing knowledge management platforms and tools to develop practical solutions for delivering better care models.
- To promote a culture of innovation by creating thought leadership opportunities and focused partnerships. This requires mapping professional and community assets to deepen relationships and networks, facilitating and supporting meaningful knowledge exchange.
- To catalyze value-based outcomes and exchange of knowledge at professional co-learning platforms, involving providers and users of the health and social care systems. This includes supporting and driving meaningful initiatives with a direct impact on patient care and population health.
- To lead the development and curation of community enabling and patient education programs, training curriculum, and learning and assessment tools to meet the needs and build capabilities of volunteers, caregivers, residents, and healthcare professionals.
- To provide a conducive environment where healthcare professionals and social care professionals can co-learn and co-design new healthcare innovations with users of the healthcare system, integrating patient voices as part of the innovation cycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a degree in business, communications, social sciences, behavioral science, psychology, or social anthropology. At least five years of community engagement and/or research experience, preferably in the healthcare and/or social service sector, is required. Prior experience in leading teams and operating in a matrix reporting environment is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate critical and strategic thinking, leadership skills, and the ability to influence behaviors to achieve measurable outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are also necessary.
