We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team at Alpsoft Technologies Pte. Ltd.

Job Summary

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Splunk services across all environments.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough checks and troubleshooting to guarantee that Splunk services function as intended in all environments.
  • Maintain and monitor Splunk infrastructure (Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, Deployment Server, Cluster Master, etc.) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure uptime and system health via monitoring, tuning, log analysis, and performance management.
  • Manage indexing performance, storage usage, and data lifecycle to optimize Splunk's capabilities.
  • Verify and troubleshoot log ingestion from agents (forwarders) and external sources (e.g., CloudWatch, syslog servers).
  • Integrate Splunk with our systems for real-time monitoring and alerts on infrastructure issues.
  • Fine-tune Splunk rules and develop or validate custom parsers as requested.
  • Support Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations for threat detection, auditing, and incident response.
  • Rotate privileged and service account passwords regularly to maintain security.
  • Ensure Splunk availability during Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
  • Investigate issues, apply fixes/workarounds, and provide incident reports with root cause analysis.
  • Track and report incidents, security advisories, software updates, and license/maintenance expiries.
  • Address security vulnerabilities and compliance findings to maintain a secure environment.
  • Track and update Data Loss Prevention (DLP) End-of-Life/End-of-Support timelines.
  • Deploy, test, and implement approved system changes without degrading performance.
  • Develop new use cases, reports, and alert tuning to improve accuracy.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and workflows to facilitate smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Able to work independently and ensure smooth running of the system.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience working on Splunk systems.
  • Hold a Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin certification or equivalent.
