Chief Research Facilitator Job Description

The role of Chief Research Facilitator plays a pivotal part in driving research activities forward. As the chief facilitator, you will be responsible for fostering collaborative partnerships with academic medical centers.

This position involves negotiating and managing complex research agreements to ensure timely execution.

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and management of multi-party research collaboration agreements to ensure efficient execution.
  • Handle sophisticated research collaborations with various stakeholders, including institutions, academia, and industry partners.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management in contract development and execution.
  • Drive efficient contract processing while maintaining high governance standards.

In addition to facilitating research partnerships, this position oversees and supports special projects within the Office of Research. It also involves drafting or reviewing ad-hoc policies under its purview.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in healthcare or science-related fields with 6 to 8 years' relevant work experience.
  • Ability to understand grant application requirements, scientific, and clinical terms, and medical jargons.
  • Candidates with experience in an administrative position and involvement in drafting and facilitating research agreements would be preferred.
  • Fast learner with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
