Job Summary

A procurement specialist will identify and develop alternative supplier options to mitigate supply chain risk. Key objectives include reducing costs and minimizing price increases without compromising product quality and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure alignment with company requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and delivery conditions.
  • Resolve supply-related issues, including cargo damages, shipment delays, and payment verification discrepancies.
  • Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Draft or fine-tune supplier contracts for management approval, as necessary.
  • Process daily purchase orders, coordinate specification changes, and ensure adherence to purchasing protocols.
  • Prepare summary reports and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
  • Evaluate cost savings opportunities and conduct risk assessments related to procurement and supplier selection.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum degree in any discipline (full-time degree required)
  • Singaporean or permanent resident status
  • At least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, rules, and terminology
  • Experience in cost analysis, risk assessment, supplier auditing, and SPA processes
  • Ability to handle close-to-management level duties and responsibilities
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
