Residential Community Manager

This is a key role in managing residential community programs and services. As a Residential Community Manager, you will work independently and as part of a team to oversee the day-to-day activities of our boarding houses.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the residential life curriculum, which supports the well-being and learning of all members of the residential life community. You will also serve as the primary caregivers for our students, providing consistent and considerate supervision and discipline.
Key responsibilities include leading the pastoral care of boarding students, working with the boarding team, supporting academic staff, counseling, clinic, and other support teams to ensure students thrive emotionally, socially, physically, and academically. This involves carrying out administrative and operational tasks involved in comprehensive student care.
You will lead duty teams to supervise and care for boarding students according to a weekly and weekend duty roster, ensuring all safeguarding standards are met. Additionally, you will organize and lead holiday programs, orientation and transition programs, local trips, activity days, and other student programs as required.
As a Residential Community Manager, you will work closely with other departments within the college to promote and develop boarding in the community. You will also mentor team members, developing their skills and practice.
Qualifications and experience required for this position include a tertiary qualification in a field related to boarding, education, counseling, or nursing. A minimum of five years' experience working in boarding, with at least three years working with female students between the ages of 12 and 15 in a boarding, educational, or residential setting, is preferred. Experience living and working with young people in Asian, Central/South American, or African countries is highly valued.
