Job Title: Swim Coordinator/Coach

Summary:

  • The Swim Coordinator/Coach is a leadership role responsible for planning, executing, and supervising the daily operations of the after-school swimming program.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program Development: Develop and implement training programs tailored to swimmers' skills and goals.
  2. Practice Sessions: Plan and organize practice sessions, drills, and skill-building exercises.
  3. Clinics and Workshops: Coach swim squads and/or learn-to-swim programs, including in-water instruction.
  4. Feedback and Evaluation: Provide feedback on swimming techniques.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and foster a team of after-school swim coaches.
  6. Communication: Maintain effective communication with swimmers, parents, and staff.
  7. Pool Safety: Ensure safety regulations and best practices are followed.
  8. Administrative Duties: Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, budgeting, and event coordination.
  9. Reporting and Record Keeping: Prepare reports and maintain logs in collaboration with the Director of EOTC.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:
  1. Education: Relevant degree (preferred).
  2. Certification: Minimum FINA Level 2 Coach/UKCC Level 2/ASCA Level 2 certification, with at least 2 years of coaching experience, preferably in squad planning for competitive swimming.
  3. Organizational and Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
