Key Roles & Responsibilities

This position involves analysis of pricing strategies across various geographical and trade levels. The objective is to ensure efficient operations and minimize costs.

  • Analyzing pricing structures for different trade lanes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Making informed decisions on cost structures and pricing strategies based on market trends and the company's objectives
  • Leading ongoing enhancements in cost models to adapt to market changes, optimizing pricing and cargo selection
  • Identifying areas for strategic adjustments based on shifting market conditions and competition
  • Regularly analyzing discrepancies between estimated and actual shipping costs, taking corrective action to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Periodically assessing container equipment availability and performance to inform decisions about balancing, repositioning, and managing costs effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Maritime, Business, or a related field is beneficial
  • Experience in a shipping carrier and various trade lanes is ideal, requiring strong trade lane knowledge
  • Background in yield management or pricing is highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is highly advantageous for price forecasting
  • Fresh graduates with a maritime background are welcome to apply
