Job Title: Global Air Freight Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Global Air Freight Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air freight coordination, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Overseas Entities

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with overseas entities to handle shipments, ensuring compliance with customer SOPs, and exercising flexibility in shipment handling and detail handling of shipments.

Respond to Customer Enquiries

The role involves responding to all customer enquiries promptly and prioritizing responsibilities/urgency of shipments.

Process Jobfile Closing

The candidate will also be responsible for processing jobfile closing on a monthly basis.

Investigate Incidents and Service Failure

The ideal candidate will investigate root-cause of incidents and service failure, checking on AWB/BL and all other necessary shipping documents, and providing feedback to customers and overseas agents if any discrepancy/non-compliance issue is found.

Check Shipment Documents and Profitability

The successful candidate will check the validity on both buying and selling rates, ensure all shipments are at a profitable margin, and obtain confirmation black & white support from Sales should it be a Commercial decision to load shipment with a negative figure.

Confirm Debit Notes and Freight Status

The candidate will confirm draft debit notes from counterparts/suppliers and ensure rates quoted to customers are applied correctly, providing flight/vessel details, monitoring shipments, and providing feedback to customers on freight status timely.

Ensure Compliance and Customer Satisfaction

The ideal candidate will ensure good understanding of customers' SOPs and shipment handling requirements by ensuring compliance prior to shipping from origin or delivery to consignee, with customer satisfaction.

Monitor Purchase Orders and System Linking

The successful candidate will monitor Purchase Orders (POs) from activation, coordinate with Origin and Destination offices to ensure smooth shipment handling, receiving JF numbers and planned pick-up dates from Origins to perform system linking between JFs and POs via LINK PO Module.

Provide Weekly Reports and Attend Meetings

The candidate will provide weekly reports and attend weekly meetings with relevant customers under their affiliates.

Requirements
  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level

  • Able to Work Overtime
