Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and solving complex technical issues within our transmission and datacom IP networks. They will analyze network performance, ensure ample capacity to support current traffic, and provide Level 2 support for Operations & Maintenance in resolving open trouble tickets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solving complex technical issues within our transmission and datacom IP networks
  • Analyzing network performance and ensuring adequate capacity
  • Providing Level 2 support for Operations & Maintenance in resolving open trouble tickets
  • Managing and configuring network devices and services
  • Liaising with internal teams, customers, and vendors to resolve complex technical problems

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong background in telecommunications or a related field, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, and be able to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Telecommunication/ IT/ Computer Science/ Engineering or other related technical discipline
  • Strong knowledge of DWDM, MPLS, Routing and Switching, and firewall technologies
  • Experience working with multiple vendors (e.g., Singtel, Starhub, M1 Limited)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service orientation and presentation skills
