A position is available for a skilled professional to join our research team and contribute to the development of a web-based Ship Simulation and Optimisation Software Platform.
Job Description:This role involves participating in and managing an industry innovation research project. The primary responsibility is to deliver on the project with the research team, ensuring all project deliverables are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop naval architecture calculation and ship design tools based on analytical or empirical methods.
- Develop a practical parametric model framework for ship and system design.
- Carry out naval architecture calculations, such as stability, resistance, hydrodynamic analysis, etc.
- Carry out ship hydrodynamic and CFD simulations.
- Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
To be successful in this role, you will need relevant competence in naval architecture and ship hydrodynamics. A degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering / Ocean Engineering / Other Relevant Engineering Degree is required. Possessing a Master's or PhD degree will be advantageous. Experience in any programming language and marine hydrodynamics will also be beneficial.
