Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a key role in the delivery of projects.

About the Role:

The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, coordinating, and communicating aspects of project work activities on site from conception to completion. This includes ensuring compliance with contract documents, system plans, and work procedures for the project. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

The Assistant Project Manager will also be responsible for coordination / schedule meetings on the daily progress of works on site, as well as being one of the primary contacts throughout the project. They will ensure that the project stays on schedule, meets safety objectives, and results in a cost-effective facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing project multidiscipline teams
  • Evaluate proposals submitted by vendors for the package
  • Tender interviews / clarifications and evaluate re-submissions by vendors
  • Review documentations submitted by vendor and ensure that all comments are incorporated to meet the requirement / specification of the project
  • Review contractors design documentations and coordinate with related stakeholders on process related issues
  • Prevent compliance issues by collaborating with other project teams; reviewing design data; identifying and resolving engineering design issues; identifying short-term and long-range issues; researching and identifying applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes; developing compliance policies
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry
  • PMP Certification would be an added advantage
