About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Finance Executive to join our team at British and Malayan Trustees Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting management with all corporate finance matters, including banking and treasury-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in origination, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities, including potential acquisitions, mergers, or joint ventures.
- Undertake financial analysis of new business opportunities and make recommendations to management.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Undertake preliminary background checks on counterparties.
- Liaise with external advisors, including legal firms, corporate advisors, and banks.
- Coordinate with the Group Financial Controller on the Group's overall financial cash flow position.
Requirements:
- Recent graduates or individuals with up to 3+ years of experience in banking, corporate advisory firms, or accounting firms.
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Banking, or CFA.
- Clear track record of ability to be a self-starter with an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in data mining, investment research, and analysis.
- Experience in valuation modeling and methodologies.
- Experience in financial modeling and cash flow projections.
- Experience in preparation of pitchbooks and proposals.
- Must have accounting skills.
