Autism Education Specialist

Pathlight School / Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as a Teaching Adjunct for Autism. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and contributing to the development of our curriculum and pedagogy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging and well-paced lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students with ASD.
- Deliver lessons using evidence-based ASD pedagogy and meaningful activities to meet the educational needs of individual students.
- Implement appropriate modes of assessment to monitor student progress and provide accurate feedback.
- Contribute to the improvement of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment to enhance teaching and learning.
Holistic Student Development:
- Build strong relationships with students by demonstrating care, concern, and encouragement.
- Implement data-based, student-centred Individual Education Plans (IEP) / Individual Transition Plans (ITP) process for all students and support their attainment of IEP/ITP goals.
- Design and implement positive, robust classroom routines and practices to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Implement techniques and behaviour plans to manage students with complex and challenging behaviours.
Partnerships and Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to support students and/or school initiatives.
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders to help achieve desired education outcomes.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a professional teaching qualification and experience teaching English, Mathematics, or Science. Competitive rates and flexible work hours are offered.
