Job Overview:

The role of the Assistant Veterinary Manager revolves around supporting veterinary and production teams to maintain optimal animal health, biosecurity, and productivity at poultry farming operations in Singapore. This position brings specialized veterinary expertise from Thailand to enhance local capacity building, disease prevention, and production excellence aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Animal Health Management
    • Regularly assess and monitor the health status of poultry flocks.
    • Support diagnosis, treatment, and control of infectious diseases and metabolic disorders.
    • Implement vaccination programs, medication protocols, and nutrition-related health practices.
    • Develop preventive health management strategies, aligned with company policies and government regulations.
  • Farm Biosecurity & Compliance
    • Ensure strict biosecurity measures are in place across all farm operations.
    • Conduct periodic audits and inspections to monitor compliance with internal and statutory health and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure the farm meets veterinary, public health, and environmental requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze farm health performance indicators, mortality, growth rates, and medication outcomes to inform strategic decisions.
    • Prepare and present veterinary health reports and recommendations to farm management.
  • Training & Technical Support
    • Provide technical training and mentoring to farm supervisors and staff on animal welfare, health monitoring, and emergency response.
    • Share knowledge of Thai veterinary practices and innovations that can benefit local operations.
  • Support Farm Operations
    • Work closely with production and operations teams to improve flock performance and productivity.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align veterinary health with production planning and improvement projects.

• Strong understanding of avian pathology, pharmacology, and epidemiology.

• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work in a multicultural environment.

• Proven experience in technical training, coaching, or expatriate assignments is an advantage.
