Academic Conference Organizer

This role involves overseeing all aspects of academic conferences from conceptualization to execution, encompassing market research, value proposition development, conference agenda creation, stakeholder engagement, website management, customer service, milestone tracking, team coordination, and onsite delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth analysis on market trends, competitor landscapes, and industry challenges
  • Value Proposition Development: Discuss topics with the chair and prepare event briefs for marketing and editorial teams
  • Conference Agenda Creation: Collaborate with chair and session chairs to select oral and poster candidates, schedule presentation timings
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish relationships with chair, session chairs, speakers to advocate for events
  • Website Management: Keep event websites updated with latest information, speakers, partners, and sessions
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to partners, speakers, and stakeholders and resolve issues promptly
  • Milestone Tracking: Monitor progress to ensure KPIs and event targets are achieved
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and live session teams
Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop strategies to maximize outreach and promote the conference
  • Conference Collateral Materials: Create drafts for brochures, banners, sponsorship prospectus
  • Marketing Copywriting: Develop promotional copy for channels including emails, social media, partners, and editorial needs
  • SEO Marketing: Improve website ranking and increase site traffic
  • Sponsorship Marketing: Secure partners and coordinate their participation and sponsorship
  • Content Development: Create content for conference sessions, interviews, and speaker/host scripts
  • Marketing Campaigns Progress Tracking: Monitor progress to ensure timely execution of marketing schedules
