Technical Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to oversee the technical management and operations of our tanker vessels.

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings.
  • Ensure vessels comply with international and flag state requirements, including ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, and Class regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical management and operations of assigned tanker vessels, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings.
  • Monitor and manage vessel operating budgets, aiming for cost efficiency and financial accountability.
  • Conduct regular vessel inspections, prepare technical reports, and follow up on corrective actions for technical deficiencies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to onboard crews, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or relevant maritime discipline.
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as Chief Engineer (Class 1) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience as Technical Superintendent managing tanker vessels; sea-going experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and class/flag requirements specific to tankers.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.
