Job Title: Maritime Navigation and Communication Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced specialist to install, troubleshoot, and maintain marine navigation and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections on installed systems to guarantee optimum performance and adherence to safety rules.
  • Effectively identify and fix technical problems to reduce downtime and ensure onboard systems continue to function.
  • Provide technical support and direction to crew members for the upkeep and operation of navigation and communication systems.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electrical/electronics engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Four years or more of practical experience installing, debugging, and maintaining marine communication and navigation systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking and IT concepts and procedures.
  • The General Operator's Certificate (GOC) is highly recommended.
Preferred Qualifications:

It is desirable to have knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working at sea and occasional travel to shore-based locations.
