">Job Description">

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the execution of effective container logistics control, encompassing container supply and demand planning, container steering programs, repositioning management, vendor management, equipment management system (EMS), and detention & demurrage (D&D) management.

">Container Control Aspect">
  • Container Fleet Management including On/Offhire planning and execution.
  • Container procurement and sale activities.
  • Container demand/supply planning & flow management.
  • Container operations activities including sub-lease / one-way / interchange, etc.
  • Inventory management.
">Detention & Demurrage (D&D)">
  • Liaise with local offices to ensure detention & demurrage charges are collected.
  • Reconciliation of detention & demurrage amounts.
  • Handling & processing of detention disputes / waiver requests.
">Equipment Management System (EMS)">
  • Ensuring container movement / status data integrity in EMS.
  • Errors identification, correction & updating.
  • Maintaining and executing container disposal through EMS.
">Background and Experience">

Minimum 5 years managerial experience in container control within a global shipping company is necessary.

">Competencies and Skills">

Good team player with strong planning and execution capabilities. Time management, analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills under pressure and tight deadlines are essential.
