Job Title: Assistant Research Officer

You will be part of an innovative project that aims to reduce the risk of dengue in Singapore. The project is conducted in the Vector Biology & Control Division of the Environmental Health Institute.

About the Role:
  • Support the planning and execution of various activities, including large-scale production of male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes
  • Participate in production process improvement and support experiences
Requirements:
  1. Minimum a Diploma in Life Sciences, Engineering or related disciplines
  2. Able to systematically perform routine workflow correctly with an eye for details
  3. Able to handle mosquitoes and related husbandry
  4. Able to work staggered hours, including after office-hours, weekends and public holidays
  5. Able to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced working environment
  6. Physically fit to perform manual work
  7. Good interpersonal and communication skills
  8. Experience working in a laboratory or insectary setting will be advantageous
