About the Role
Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our mobile drilling equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and implementation of maintenance schedules for mobile drilling equipment
- Supervise the work of rig mechanics on offshore vessels to ensure that maintenance and repairs are carried out to the highest standard
- Develop and implement procedures for the mobilization and demobilization of equipment
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that maintenance and repairs are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive spares package for geotechnical equipment
- Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the offshore drilling industry. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
