About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a Workshop Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning and budgeting for preventive maintenance and upgrades of electrical equipment used in our mobile and fixed drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and planning for electrical equipment inspection and testing in the workshop facility.
  • Support the equipment resource manager with the planning and implementation of upgrades relating to equipment, including modification works.
  • Participate in mobilization activities of electrical equipment, including the development of procedures and task plans.
  • Plan and arrange contractors for repairs and maintenance, and ensure the timely and effective completion of tasks.
  • Remotely supervise rig ETOs onboard vessels to ensure that all repair and maintenance, including preventive maintenance, is carried out effectively.
  • Carry out periodical inspections of geotechnical equipment onboard ships and in the warehouse to ensure uptime and safety.
  • Identify the need for additional support from contractors for critical mobilization and repair activities.
  • Ensure maintenance records, certification, and spare part information are filed in the planned maintenance system.
  • Develop a comprehensive spares package for geotechnical equipment and effectively manage stock control.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with project requirements and company rules.
  • Prioritize safety, health, and quality at all work sites.
  • Stand in as the emergency point of contact for field staff to troubleshoot electrical equipment issues.

About You

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in servicing electrical equipment used in the marine and offshore industry. You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as an ETO on offshore facilities such as MODUs and rigs. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical equipment maintenance in the workshop and onboard geotechnical and geophysical vessels.
