Morgan Healey is retained to find a new Vice President of Academic Partnerships for APAC. This role is responsible for developing commercial publishing strategies across APAC and defining new growth markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive Researcher Services content growth, KOL acquisition and influence in APAC; responsibility for performance and objective attainment in line with strategic objectives
- Lead, inspire and coach a high-level senior team to ensure high engagement, delivery of objectives, and a culture of high performance
- Establish, maintain and develop high-level relationships with key APAC customer groups; researchers and research key opinion leaders, funders, societies and institutions, commercial, professional and academic as well as government and regulatory bodies
- Provide market feedback to leadership regarding competitive offerings and regional market trends, and generate product and services development ideas
- Monitor and report on KPIs including revenue, costs, overheads, usage and user behaviours to inform future strategic development.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the STM / Research Publishing space, strong commercial focus and experience in managing the P&L within a strategic business unit. A firm grasp of strategic issues affecting the global research sector is essential.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Significant experience in the STM / Research Publishing space
- Ability to lead and inspire a team

- A proven track record in developing, managing and implementing content delivery for a global publishing business
- Significant experience of managing change

- Extensive capability in assessing market conditions, looking externally and adapting business priorities dependent on macro and micro factors
