Moulding Production Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Moulding Production Supervisor to lead and supervise daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers in meeting productivity targets, cycle times, and output efficiency.
  • Allocate manpower and oversee machine operations across multiple moulding lines to ensure strict adherence to productivity targets and quality standards.
  • Ensure all parts produced meet automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) by working closely with Quality Assurance on in-process checks and non-conformance issues.

Moulding Process Control:

  • Oversight of mould changeovers, machine start-up, shutdown, and parameter settings to optimize machine settings and improve product consistency and reduce scrap.
  • Troubleshoot process or equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality production levels.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and coach a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Conduct training on safe machine operation, work instructions, and 5S practices to enhance team performance and discipline.

Safety & Workplace Management:

  • Enforce safety regulations and PPE usage at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Promote a clean and organized work environment through 5S, Kaizen, and regular workplace inspections.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of injection moulding experience, preferably in automotive or precision plastic components.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other automotive quality tools is essential.
  • Proficiency in setting up machines such as Arburg, Sumitomo, Fanuc, or similar is required.
