Research Scientist Position

As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge electrochemical sensing technologies. Your primary focus will be on designing and fabricating innovative devices that can detect solid-state analytes in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrochemical sensing interfaces for fluid-free detection of solid-state analytes.
  • Engineer adhesive interfacial layers and hybrid materials to support stable, selective, and sensitive solid-surface chemo-sensing.
  • Integrate electrochemical systems with characterization methods (e.g., SEM, XPS, in-situ XRD) to study sensor performance and degradation mechanisms.
  • Contribute to system-level optimization of sensor signal quality and environmental stability.
  • Prepare research publications and progress reports; participate in interdisciplinary discussions with collaborators.
  • Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to high-quality scientific publications and conference presentations.
  • Maintain lab equipment and supplies, including procurement and liaison with suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
  • Strong experimental background in electrochemical system design, electrode/electrolyte interface engineering, and battery or sensor fabrication.
  • Experience in in-situ/ex-situ characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, Cryo-TEM, XPS, XRD).
  • Ability to design and fabricate device prototypes for innovative applications.
  • Strong track record of publications in high-impact journals.
  • Ability to conduct independent research while collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.
