Job Title: Waste Management Specialist

We are seeking a Waste Management Specialist to join our team in the operation and maintenance of a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Operations/Maintenance Manager to ensure efficient plant operation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain good relationships with primary customers and stakeholders, promoting effective communication and mutual understanding.
  • Ensure timely and accurate management of operations, maintenance, consumables, manpower, and budget, minimizing risks and optimizing results.
  • Participate in activities in the Central Control Room, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant, and other plant areas, contributing to process improvement and quality enhancement.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, ensuring proper documentation and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Enforce safety procedures and maintain a high level of safety awareness, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for plant upkeep and repairs, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Assist in maintenance activities, including Mechanical and Electrical, Overhaul, Preventive, Corrective, and Predictive Maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and optimal performance.
  • Monitor plant parameters, troubleshoot issues, and adjust processes to ensure optimal operation, updating plant status and communicating issues promptly.
  • Manage Jobcards and Permit-to-Work systems, ensuring safety and risk assessment compliance, and supporting procurement inquiries and site inspections as needed.
  • Support audits and other activities related to Business Continuity Planning, Internal Quality Control, Research and Development, and ISO standards, contributing to continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Pursue opportunities for professional growth, exploring future overseas deployment or rotations in different environmental business areas, and participating in improvement, project, and overhaul works, including value creation projects and contractor coordination.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with contractors, overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
