The role of a Housekeeping Assistant is to maintain the cleanliness and well-being of designated areas within our community.
Working as part of the Operations team, this individual contributes to the smooth running and attractive appearance of the School.
The Housekeeping Assistant reports directly to the Lead or Senior Housekeeping Assistant.
- Able to understand and communicate effectively in English.
- Excellent teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
- Previous experience in cleaning work is preferred but not required; we welcome applicants without prior experience.
- 5-day working week with regular hours from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm.
- Annual leave entitlement: 15-23 days.

1. Hygiene
• Adhere to the established cleaning schedule, completing tasks on time.
• Report any organisational issues to the Lead/Senior Housekeeping Assistant.
• Organise and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ensure the correct equipment is available for tasks.
• Utilise chemicals correctly during cleaning processes.
• Prepare and clean assigned areas according to schedule.
• Provide refreshments for children.
• Maintain a tidy and clean storage area for cleaning supplies.
2. Organisation
• Adhere to the cleaning schedule, completing tasks at the correct time.
• Report any organisational problems to the Lead/Senior Housekeeping Assistant.
• Organise and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
3. Communication
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the unit.
• Regularly communicate with the Lead/Senior Housekeeping Assistant regarding any organisational issues.
• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues to ensure high-quality performance.
4. General
• Work harmoniously alongside colleagues, being open to assisting others.
• Willingness to adapt to changing duties as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, including uniform.
• Punctuality and a positive attitude towards attendance are essential.
• Demonstrate high standards of conduct and behaviour sensitive to children.
• Participate annually in the Performance Management Review exercise and undertake identified development opportunities.
• Be responsible for reporting concerns about a child to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
