We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- This role involves assisting the head chef with daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menus and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent cooking skills, including cutting, steaming, frying, and other culinary techniques. They will also be responsible for washing and handling raw materials, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment, utensils, and kitchen facilities are essential tasks that require attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to menu planning and development, working closely with management to design new dishes and promotions that drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Additional responsibilities may include assisting with inventory management, ordering supplies, and performing other duties as assigned by management.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in a Chinese restaurant or similar establishment is required.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Able to work split shifts, including evenings and weekends, and adhere to a flexible roster.
- Availability to work overtime with short notice may be required.
- Able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
